Another Benchmark

Mark another date off in the “baby book”

Mallory came flying in the house after school on Friday, February 24, 2012 and slammed this piece of paper in front of me.

This is Drew’s phone number!  He said we are supposed to call him so him and I can have a play date!

The chicken scratches were clearly done by a young child, when asking where the real phone number was, she pointed to a set of numbers and (talking as fast as ever) she said, “Drew was trying to write the numbers but he kept getting confused so his sister wrote the real ones down.  Can we call him for a play date today??!!!”

The paper, shaped in a large “M” looked rather familiar.  When I asked her where the paper came from she said, “He asked if I had anything to write his phone number on, and I always keep paper in my bag in case anyone wants to give me a phone number, so I gave him a yellow M.”

Clearly, Drew was not the only one involved in planning this date.

Her first set of boys digits at the tender age of six.

I can’t even imagine what is going to come next…

Lol! Love it! Is this the boy she was telling me was "so funny" so she wanted to have a play date with her, him, and Mikayla over the weekend? She went on and on about how funny he was and then said "right, Mikayla?" to which Mikayla said "yep," after which Mallory responded "Wait, no, you don't know him, but Mikayla, he is SO FUNNY." If it's the same boy, she sure sounds smitten!
