And her reaction was...

"Santa, I a little scared to give you a hug..."

Mallory was her very typical self when we visited Santa this morning. We went to Professor Bellows at the Mall of America and, let me tell you, Santa is amazing. We had a short wait before it was our turn to visit with Santa. Mallory was pretty nervous but had a smile on her face while she watched him interact with the other groups of kids. When it was her turn she talked to Santa for a few minutes telling him her name, her sister's name, and what she wanted for Christmas. Which, by the way, surprised both Brent and I when she told the Man in Red, "I want a Coffee Maker and a Train Set" What?? This is the first I have ever heard her asking for either of those...
We then tried to get a picture. She sure wasn't going to sit on his lap so he waved his goodbyes and snuck off around the corner. Mallory sat down in a chair and was happily reading a book. Santa came and took Mikayla from me and snuck behind Mallory to get the picture taken. At first she didn't realize he was there and then she turned around to see him peering over her shoulder holding Mikayla on one of his knees. Thankfully, there were no tears. Brent and I then hopped in to get a picture with Santa as well. When it was all done, Santa asked Mallory for a hug and that is when she uttered her famous line. She asked for a 'high five' instead, Santa happily obliged.
