The moving process

Well the final move is just a few days away and we have been busy plugging away getting various things done at the new place and packing things up "back home". The main truck comes on Sunday to take away the last of the stuff in Woodbury. I have mixed emotions about leaving...I know that sounds super lame. Lots going on at home that I just want figured out and I will be at ease...

We had a tremendous amount of help this weekend as the place went from dingy, white, downright nasty walls that were transformed to a cozy feeling of home. Thanks to every single one of you who picked up a brush, a ladder, a light fixture, my kid, a screwdriver, whatever it was, to help us get the big job done. We have two bathrooms left that my sister is insisting upon doing before we move in, so that is awesome.

Brent built some great shelves in the garage to store all of our unused stuff. Wow do we have a lot of stuff. Moving from a 3000 sq foot home into a 1600 sq foot townhouse shows us just how much stuff we have. Downsizing for us...its a good thing.

The furniture for the family room and for Mallory's room was delivered today. The stuff looks great. It is so cute to see furniture different than the adapted nursery furniture in Mallory's room. She LOVES her new room and there aren't even mattresses on the bed yet. I tell ya that girl could get excited by a new box for a bed...

Pictures? Where are the pictures? Well, this move is also taking almost every last breath out of each day for me. I'll get pics posted as soon as I have the time and energy. At this point there are more important things greater on the "to do" list.

Hang in there if I am a bit distant over the next handful of days. I'll be back with a big post of pictures and details on being settled as a family of 3.75 and a dog :)
