My mind is Holiday wandering…

It has been less than one week since Thanksgiving and I already feel like our life has begun the blur that is the Holiday season.  This year I am promising to enjoy it all.  Our calendar days are quickly filling up with fun events that give this season meaning.  Most our traditions, and those I love most.  Holiday baking, Gingerbread decorating, present wrapping, Christmas decorating, music playing—we are welcoming the season with open arms.  Mikayla has joined the “awe” stage of the season and every string of lights is deemed a “Tissmmass teeee”.   Mallory now remembers traditions from the past, and I love hearing her talk about each one.  All the traditions, wrapped up together, make Christmas magical for her, for all of us really…

Our Thanksgiving weekend was very nice.  We filled our tummies to the brim with good food, we were sure to share our thankfulness and we survived the first holiday weekend with Brent working.  Thankful for employment, this alone made it much easier to send him off to work after a delicious turkey dinner.

In the days to come we will bundle up in our warmest winter gear, drive to our local tree farm and cut down the Eid Family Christmas Tree.  Are you laughing at the thought of us out in some forest with an ax?  Ya better be…

Stories and traditions to come as we engulf ourselves in the Season!
