Sandy Snack

You know the sand eating that I talked about here?

Well it happened this afternoon.  She has this way of making such funny facial expressions.  Its as though she already has this silly sense of humor.

She wasn’t the least bit phased by the grainy sand that was stuck on her tongue.  She was ticked when I moved her to the water side of the table and then she does what she is learning to do best--cruise on down to the sand side and attempt to feast once again.

I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time…

Well, she doesn't have much of a variety of food, so sand may taste way better than some of her food:)

This is so adorable! I love the third photo, with the silly face and closed eyes. She sure is learning to ham it up for the camera! Mmmmm, sand. I was a fan, too, when I was a wee little thing! I still can't get over her red hair. I wish I had ANY redheads in my family so I could have just a glimmer of hope to pass it on to my child.

Regarding the above comment, I have to disagree...Considering all of the food allergies that she has, I have to say that I'm quite impressed with the variety Kristie and Brent provide for her in her diet! I actually think it probably tastes much BETTER than what most babies get. I think any baby, regardless of what they're fed, would experiment with eating sand (and grass, and leaves, and their own toes, and your nose, and any goo that comes from their nose, and your notebook, and anything else they can get their mouth on). It's just the nature of a baby! :)
