10 year reunion

I had my 10 year high school reunion last night. The thought of going to my "10 year reunion" made me feel old. Walking into the room was a bit overwhelming. I'm not normally a "I need a drink" sort of a girl. Intimidation got the best of me--this is me, needing a drink. NOW.

The night was fun and was filled with seeing old friends and laughing like old times. My favorite game was to guess who the different classmates were--out of 435 different people it was fun to try and see if we could pull his/her name out of thin air. Cari gets the crown for the best guesser...I still think that she studied the yearbook before she came.

See all of our name tags? If you were the graduate you had a blue name tag with your senior picture on it. If you were the spouse you had a red name tag with your spouses picture on it. Super funny and such a great idea! Unfortunately, my camera was on a goofy setting so only a few of my pictures turned out.

Why Do I blog?

Welcome. Why do I blog? I blog for my two little girls so that when I am long gone, soaking up guilt-free sun rays, laying on a big fluffy cloud up in Heaven, they can remember. They can remember the simple things. The little things. Those things that are small to everyone else, but mighty to this mommy's heart. I want my children to know that not only the major milestones were remembered, but also the little milestones. Her first bike ride, her first bee sting, the first time she planted seeds in the garden. They will both know, not only were they loved deeply, but also the magnitude of that depth. Why not just journal? Because part of me hopes that in my day to day writing, someone out there in this mighty World can relate. Can relate to one little thing that runs through all of us--the desire to remember the times that made us laugh, smile, cry and most importantly, treasure our loved ones.
