It's a girl thing...

The weekend started out with a girls night for Kristen, Kristen and I on Friday night. We were treated to fantastic pedicures at Spalon and then ate a Tejas afterwards. Now, most of you don't know about my toenail and the terrible few months it has had. Back in January I dropped a really really big book (Baby Dear) on my big toe. I didn't think much of the bruised toenail back in January when socks and shoes were worn...however this toenail has been taking FOREVER to heal. It finally started to grow out and the unpleasant process of falling off, in order for a new one to grow, took place a few weeks ago. To say the least my big toenail looked disgusting. If you aren't aware already, I am not a big fan of my "Fred Flinstone block feet". They be small, but they aren't that cute. With the gnarly toenail added to the mix my toes were something else. Not for the weak stomach and in order to "Wow" you all with the after pictures I have added a before shot of my toes...
I went along with the pedicures thinking the girl time would be fun and maybe the paint would make the toenail look a little bit better. I walked into the salon and right away confessed to Gaow (my nail technician) that I had a gimp toenail. I wasn't shy. She took one look at the toenail and said "I'll build you a new one. Don't you worry." YIPPPEEE!!! Sure enough she took some acrylic and built a brand new toenail. They look fantastic. Thanks Gaow! The rest of the girls night was great. We ate a super yummy meal and Kristen Jovle (from Shakopee) got hit on like an 22 year old, by our waiter--which could be a whole new blog entry in itself.

My foot is on the bottom--that is my no more gnarly toe!!!

haha I should've bloged about the waiter, although what more is there to say than "Kristen from Shakopee". Fun times...
