Oh the joys of grocery shopping...

Mallory's new thing when we are grocery shopping is to go in those carts that have the car attached to the front of it. I always picture the moms who push those things have six kids with them and a full cart overloading with food--3 kids in the plastic car (all trying to steer at the same time while squeaking the fake horn over and over again), 2 in the cart, one in a baby carrier and the poor mom always looks so tired and frazzled. I never thought I was going to be one of those moms struggling to push those big things around the store. I really didn't. I thought I would have some great diversion tactic that would steer her away from the germ filled, herpes carrying, cart that is now turned into a toy. *sigh* Nope. She loves it. I can only make myself feel a little better by giving her a sanitary wipe telling her to clean the car while I steer....actually there is no such word as steer when it comes to the CarCart. So you should all mentally picture me, pushing the carcart around Rainbow, trying not to run into anything or anybody. I don't think I have had a successful non-accident trip yet. I haven't hit a human yet, just lots of end cap type stuff and, it never fails, I get stuck in the checkout line. The carcart doesn't move side to side very well at all, so I end up misjudging the width of the aisle and I end up having to pick up the cart to try and maneuver the stupid thing out of the line. By the time we are in the van with our groceries, and the carcart as been shoved into the cart corrale, it never fails that Mallory tells me "That fun Mommy, that cart fun" Right, tons of fun...
