Birthday Party-Friend Style

Mallory turned six a few weeks ago and though the parties and celebrating seemed to last more than just a few weeks, the Thank You cards are in the mail and the celebrating is done.  She requested a “friend” party this year. Aiming to please the birthday girl, we celebrated at home with a low-key princess party.   Six little girls were treated to an afternoon of birthday fun. We threw the party together “old school”, like parties were when I was little.  Mikayla was super sick, so my sister came to help me with the party while Brent tended to Mikayla.  We did a princess art project, painted nails, did a few party games, had cake and ice cream while drinking from fancy glasses, and let the kids play on their own. 
Mallory had a blast and was so excited to have her friends over to her house.
