Mal:  Mommy this tooth feels like it is going to fall out.
Me:  Do you want me to just yank it out for you?
Mal:  NO!
Me:  Then you are just going to have to wait a few days until it falls out on it’s own.  No big deal.  Keep wiggling it…

Next thing I knew, I was holding a tiny tooth in my hands.  Her eyes were as big as saucers.

After reminding her about the lesson in The Berenstain Bear’s book about Sister Bear losing her front tooth, she gave me the nod to go ahead and pull it out.  And I’ll be honest, I had to pull.  Hard.  She only cried before the whole thing.  Nothing during.  Nothing after.

If I had to guess, I’d say she’ll give birth to her first baby without an epidural.

Because having your tooth pulled out, is totally comparable to childbirth.

Or not…

And now she looks at least 8 years old.  I can barely stand it.
