It feels like just yesterday I waddled onto the maternity floor at Abbott Northwestern and gave birth to a beautiful red headed baby girl. Here we are three months later. I will never again be pregnant nor will I ever give birth again. I am done with those first few weeks of bleary eyed exhaustion. We are now onto smiles and giggles. Sleeping longer stretches at night gives way to numerous close calls at rolling over during the day. Mikayla is in love with her sister and can't get enough of her singing "Twinkle Twinkle" and saying 'Hi boogey' to her. She has discovered she has a furry four legged creature, that, if looks at her in just the right way makes her smile wide. At this point her coos and babbles are much quieter than Mallory's ever were...we shall see if that changes. In order for her voice to be heard over her big sister's she may have to work on the volume level.
She still goes to the chiropractor about once a week and has not needed her reflux medicine in almost a month--whooo hooo! She is drifting off to sleep on her own and sleeping about 8 hours straight at night. However, she is sleeping snug as a bug in her car seat. Hopefully by month number four she will be in her crib, but at this point we will take what we can get... She is healthy and so happy and that is all that matters.
One thing is for certain, she has all three of us wrapped around her little fingers.
Hanging with her cousin!
