If I had a tail, I would tuck it...

Yeah. I am hanging my head and tucking my non-existent tail in shame. I am the worst doggy mom ever. I forgot Lucy's birthday. Oh hum. The day went along as usual. There was no cake, no extra treats, not even an extra (who am I kidding not even a one-time) walk around the block. Poor Lucy. It sure is tough to sit on the bottom of the family totem pole. She turned 6 and we forgot. Once I remembered, I gave her a good extra few minutes of belly rubs and Mallory gave her an extra treat in the morning for her birthday present.

We had no idea how much work puppies were. In hindsight, it's nothing compared to kids, but at the time we thought we would never sleep through the night and never get our freedom back. Ha...oh how life has changed. We also had no idea how quickly we would fall in love with a furry four legged dog. Happy Birthday Lucy!!
