"I need my pie-vacy"

The conversation went something like this outside of the bathroom this morning. Mallory standing (almost naked) in the bathroom trying to get through, in her mind, the very difficult and too time consuming task of getting dressed:

"Mommy, give me my pie-vacy." As she shuts the bathroom door in my face.
Privacy? I think to myself; your three, How much privacy do you really need? However, I obey her request, thinking she most likely has to go potty. As I sit waiting, not hearing much of anything coming from the bathroom, I ask, "Mallory, what are you doing in the bathroom."
"Picking my nose," she replies
Well, you asked the question and she gave you the answer. "Mallory you are supposed to be going potty and please use a kleenex if you need it, not your finger."
"Well you know Mommy my finger works better and I don't need to go potty I just needed to pick my nose, so that's why I wanted pie-vacy."
"Why don't you wash your hands and let's get dressed for preschool."

At least the privacy she is asking for is because she wants to pick her nose. God knows we will be dealing with all other sorts of privacy issues as the years go on. With a teenager I am sure I'll be praying for the day she locked herself in the bathroom simply to pick her nose...
