My last post I just asked for a few things, something along the lines of the sun to shine, the drinks to be cold and the breeze to keep the bugs away. Ummmmm something else happened. We saw blue sky for about 4 minutes on Saturday before we had a big ol' rain storm. Following the rain storm we were hit head on by (I made sure to ask so I didn't sound like I was overly exaggerating, thank you very much) 15-20 mile an hour sustained winds and then gusts up to (according to Mr. Jovle) 35 miles an hour. All coming out of the north, which meant they come right in the cabin windows and patio door. BRRRRRR. No worries, we take it all in stride. So far no sun, too much of a breeze...at least the Cherry Coke I drank was cold.
We finished up Saturday with a few mean games of Challenge Rummy Cube. Really old game that we found in the back of a closet at the cabin... not sure it had been played in at least 10 years. All I know is I didn't win, but the cheesy puffs were really good :)
Sunday had to be better. We woke up. Brent went and got us coffee...see already better! The sun burnt most of the clouds away by mid morning and we were in our swimsuits, in the blue raft, on the water by 10 am. A little early, yes, but we were in need of some Vitamin D in a bad way. The raft proved to be every bit relaxing, in between Mallory's swim excursions across the center. Lots of splashing, a little bit of man paddling and we were able to enjoy the raft.
Man paddling--you may think all you see in this picture are legs, but that's really all we saw as the men paddled us into shore. Got to love man paddling. Hey at least we didn't see Brent's butt as he was paddling.
More pictures to follow after Kristen gets hers downloaded. It was a great weekend. It was so fun to hang with the Jovles. Mallory misses them terribly and even cried when she got up from her nap because she missed her "Dustin and Kisten"
