We have begun the wonderful journey of potty training once again. I say journey because it is a marathon, not a sprint...at least its a good pep talk for me. We tried, unsuccessfully, a few months ago and we are ready to jump on the ride again. Diapers and pull-ups wick the moisture away and kids could sit in wet diapers all day without being uncomfortable. My mother-in-law said that when she was training her kids she used training pants that contained the stuff (ewwww but bare with me, this story is funny), but made it uncomfortable for the little ones and hoping they realize what they've done.v So the first thing we thought needed for the second attempt was a pair of the infamous training pants! Off Mallory and I went to the big store with the bulls eye. Up and down the baby aisles we went (which doesn't help with baby fever at. all.) I finally stopped at an end cap with all of the toddler underwear. I was talking out loud to Mallory telling her that I was looking for training pants for her. No luck. I left the cart there and walked down the aisle to see if I saw anything else that resembled training pants...nada. All of a sudden I hear my abandoned child (were you all thinking, what a terrible mother for leaving her child unattended...somebody call social services!!!) Anyways, my child starts yelling "Here Mommy here are train pants here are train pants right over here.. MOMMY OVER HERE!!!" Knowing that there weren't any training pants over there I took my time and walked back over to the the cart. Mallory, proud as a pickle, pointed out the train pants she saw....
Yup. Those are train pants alright. I love this kid.
