I started the tedious process of working on Mallory's video for her 3rd birthday today. I know most of you are saying she just turned two...why the rush?!? Nuts as I may seem, I download pictures to work on every 3 or 4 months around the year so that I have enough time to make all the random changes that I end up making until the night before I order the video on a cold night in December. I am not crafty. I don't scrapbook or make cute cards with stamps. However, I absolutely love the tradition I started of making a video of each year of her life. Even though I put them together, I get to watch through a different light, the changes that she has gone through and the growth that she has experienced. Someday these videos will be handed down to Mallory and she will take them, shove them in some box in her cellar (who says that word "cellar" anymore anyways?? hmmm for blog purposes it sure sounds cool), move them from house to house and probably never watch them.
The first video was done with such a different set of emotions then the second video. As I made her very first video I watched it over and over again in awe of how fast the year had gone, how much she had grown, and how happy we had become as a family. Her second video she came alive as a little spunky girl and really started to show us her personality.
Just for fun and if you have a few spare minutes, I added the link to her first year video. Really, its just a long awwwww moment I wanted to share :)
