Mikayla is 15 months (and one week) and she was in for her check-up today. One thing, that has been proven across the months of her development, is that she is little. Itty Bitty to be exact. Weighing in at a whopping 18 lbs. 4 ounces Mikayla failed to break the 1 percentile mark on the growth chart. No worries though, what she lacks in weight she makes up for in head size (ginormous). Hahaha no really she makes up for all of her smallness in her spunk.
She loves anything her sister has, and as you can see, is already on her way to becoming a self-proclaimed diva.
She felt snow for the first time this month. I brought a bucket in for the girls to play with after the first snowfall last week. She touched it, tasted it, and said Brrrrrrr over and over again.
She learned a few new tricks this month. My favorite (sense the sarcasm) is her ability to take off her pants. Really Mikayla. Do we need to go through this stage? When I see her in action next time I will have to video tape it.
She loves climbing into anything she can fit her little body into. Thanks Aunt Molly for the fun roasting pan!
She is adding words to her vocabulary almost daily, my new favorite is “cheese” when sees a camera. She is also starting to throw quite the tantrum when she doesn’t get her way. She doesn’t limit this to just mom or dad as she threw a mighty good one for Grandpa Crandall last night. He was quite impressed at her ability to throw her head backwards while simultaneously turning into a cooked spaghetti noodle.
Whatever she throws our way, she is adorable in all her moods. Itty Bitty and Beautiful. Look at those lips…
