Yes, I have been MIA for awhile. I wish I could give one solid good reason as to why, but it just seems to be the culmination of the week before Christmas catching up with me. I am exhausted by the end of the day, both physically and creatively.
We had a fun weekend away last weekend at Treasure Island Casino. My parents, Kate and Mark, and Brent and I. We left the kids with the other grandparents and headed off to the Island. The company was fun--and so was the gambling! Brent scored big on a "name entry" drawing and won $200!! Whoo hoooo! We slept in until 8 am--no interruptions--it was heaven. Mallory frosted cookies with Grandma Debbie and went sledding with Grandpa Terry--it doesn't get much better than that for 24 hours away from home :)
Mallory has her very first preschool Christmas program tomorrow. They are singing songs and then they are serving a small snack. I cannot wait to see a bunch of 2 and 3 year olds huddled together singing "Jingle Bells".... I'll make sure to take pictures and post them soon enough.
